Bloombox Club has just launched a new range of outdoor plants, from tea plants to citrus trees, perfect for your garden, balcony or terrace.

Known for offering a wide range of houseplants, accessories and a plant subscription service, Bloombox Club is now expanding its range with plants that can live outside as well as indoors. The garden plants all come in growing pots, and you can easily move them outdoors to soak up the sun in warmer weather, and bring them back indoors when it gets too cold.

So, what's on offer?

Tea plants

Tea plants can make excellent additions to the home and garden, and you can even enjoy a brew using leaves from your homegrown plant. These tea plants originated near the southwest region of China, and there are two available sizes, 30cm and 50cm (including the growing pot).

Olive tree

'While you might not be able to grow fully ripened olives from this tree (it can happen, but they need lots of heat!), it has a striking look that adds authentic Mediterranean vibes to your garden,' explains Bloombox Club. 'The tree forms small spheres of silvery grey leaves, and white flowers appear during the summer.'

The overall plant height for this olive tree, including growing pot, is 90-95cm.

Citrus trees

Fruit-bearing trees are often associated with hotter climates, but you can grow ripe citrus fruits in your own garden, even in the UK. 'The lemon tree should be placed outside in warmer months, so that it grows white flowers,' explain Bloombox Club.

Also available is the Kumquat tree, which is native to China. These trees are fairly low-maintenance and will thrive as long as they have lots of sun. Another sun-loving option is the Calamondin Orange tree, which is a hybrid between a kumquat and a mandarin orange.
