InsuraGuest, Venture Insurance to Offer Accident, Property Coverage to Hotel Guests

InsuraGuest, Inc. has partnered with Venture Insurance Programs to provide U.S. hotels with specialized insurance coverage for guests who are staying in the hotel utilizing InsuraGuest’s insurtech software.

InsuraGuest’s API integrates with approximately 70 different hotel property management systems, with access to about 40,000 hotels worldwide. Upon integration, the InsuraGuest software helps hotels transfer their exposure to liability by offering specialized hotel guest protection policies.

The InsuraGuest coverage will be purchased by the hotel and offered to each registered guest and all of their room occupants upon check-in. A charge is placed on the guest’s folio as a separate line item and paid for by the guest. The specialized policy affords coverage for theft of personal property while in the hotel as well as accidental medical expense and accidental death and dismemberment.

According to Philip J. Harvey, Sr., Venture Insurance Programs’ president, while trip insurance covers guests when traveling to and from their destination, InsuraGuest offers protection during their stay.

With InsuraGuest, hotels purchase a policy to cover each registered guest including their room occupants, up to the policy limits of $2,500 to $50,000, through the hotel. Specifically, an InsuraGuest policy will cover:

• Guest personal property
• Accidental medical expenses
• Accidental death and dismemberment

Venture Insurance Programs will administer the InsuraGuest product for hotels in all 50 states and the District of Columbia on an admitted basis through Great American Insurance Group.
